Opalio privacy policy
Last updated: October 18, 2026
Opalio is a photo gallery app for Android, published by PEULET Jérémie EI (sole trader, entrepreneur individuel under French law; contact: contact@nobrocodegames.com).
In short: Opalio does not collect any personal data. Your photos, videos and documents stay on your phone; the app has no account, shows no ads, uses no analytics, and does not even have permission to access the internet.
1. Data used on your phone
| Permission | Why | What leaves the phone |
|---|---|---|
| Photos and videos | Show, organize and edit your photos and videos | Nothing |
| Photo location (EXIF) | Show where a photo was taken in its details | Nothing |
| Camera (optional) | Photo taken after several wrong code attempts, if you turn this option on | Nothing: the photo is encrypted and stays on the phone |
| Biometrics | Unlock the protected space with your fingerprint or face | Nothing: Android checks the fingerprint, the app never sees it |
2. Protected space
Items you place in the protected space are encrypted (AES-256) and stored in a folder on the phone (Documents/Opalio), with a key kept in the phone’s security chip. So that they survive uninstalling the app, a copy of this key, locked with your code, is entrusted to the phone’s Google Play services (Block Store): it stays on the phone, and only the Opalio app can read it back. The app sends nothing online, and these items are not included in Android backups. Uninstalling the app doesn’t delete them: to erase them permanently, use “Delete all private content” in the app.
3. Sharing
When you share a photo or a document, Opalio passes it only to the app you choose. For an item from the protected space, no copy is made: Opalio decrypts it while that app reads it, and the link expires after ten minutes. The receiving app gets the item unencrypted and applies its own privacy policy.
4. Contacting us by email
If you write to the contact address, your message and email address are only used to answer you and are not passed on to anyone.
5. Children
Opalio is not specifically aimed at children and does not collect any data about them.
6. Your rights
Since no personal data is collected, there is nothing to access or delete on our side. For any question, write to the contact address above.
7. Changes
If anything changes, this page will be updated along with the date above.
